About this directory

What this directory is

London, Ontario Senior Care Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource covering 42 aged care businesses in London, Ontario. It exists for families trying to sort through retirement homes, long-term care, home care agencies, and related services without spending weeks on the phone. We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee for that introduction. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings. That disclosure is repeated on the quote page itself, because we think it should be easy to find, not buried.

Who it’s for

The site is built for adult children and spouses trying to narrow a list quickly, and for anyone comparing a handful of local options before booking tours or calling for availability. It’s a starting point, not a substitute for visiting a home or agency in person.

How listings get here

Every listing starts from public business information: address, services offered, contact details, licensing where applicable. We then synthesize what recent Google reviews say about a business, in aggregate, to surface patterns families care about (things like staff responsiveness, cleanliness, or communication). We do not republish review text. If you want to read the original reviews, we link out to the business’s Google listing so you can see them directly and judge for yourself.

Rankings are earned, not sold

Rankings come from a published rubric applied to the data and review signal we collect. There’s no way to pay for a better position. If a business chooses to sponsor a placement, that placement is clearly labelled “Sponsored,” shown in a separate section from the earned ranking, and never changes where that business actually ranks on the merits. You can read the full scoring criteria on the methodology page.

A business that appears in the directory can contact us to correct factual errors about itself (hours, address, services, phone number). What it cannot do is edit its own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. Those stay tied to the data and rubric, not to the listing owner’s preference.

Who’s behind it

The directory is published by KINPANION, which has operated in this space since 2018. Kinpanion’s core product is a quiet way to check in on a parent living independently: no wearable, nothing to charge or press, and no live video feed into your home. It notices the routine of a household and sends a calm alert only when something looks off. That background is part of why we built a directory focused on plain, verifiable information rather than marketing copy. You can read more at kinpanion.com or reach the publisher directly at hello@kinpanion.com.

Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Matthew De Vries, Editor. Data behind the directory is refreshed monthly, and each listing carries a “last verified” stamp so you can see it’s being actively maintained rather than left to go stale.

FAQ

Can a business pay to rank higher?
No. Rankings come from a published rubric applied to public data and review signal. Sponsored placements are labelled clearly and kept separate from the earned ranking.
Do you show review text from Google?
No. We synthesize patterns from recent Google reviews and link out to the business's Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself.
What can a listed business change about its own page?
It can correct factual details like address, phone number, hours, or services. It cannot edit its score, sentiment summary, or ranking.
How often is the data updated?
The directory refreshes monthly, and each listing shows a last verified date.
What happens if I ask to be matched with a provider?
We pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may receive a referral fee. This never changes how businesses are ranked.
